Short answer
A Fara datasheet is printed from one catalog record, and a row appears only when that record holds its value. When the CAS number, form or storage row is missing, the record is empty at that point. The absence is not a zero, not a “none” and not a statement that the value does not exist.
Fara does not fill a gap by inference: a number is not copied from another amount of the same compound, and a storage line is not supplied from general practice. A missing value can be queried by email, quoting the sheet ID.
1.The rule
Each sheet has fixed rows (the compound name, the sheet ID, the presentation as listed, the price per box, the currency and the minimum order) and optional rows. An optional row is printed when the record has something to put in it and is dropped otherwise, so a short sheet is not a defective sheet. The same rule governs the plain-text catalog: a field the record does not hold is omitted from that sheet's block, never written as empty.
Dropping a row, rather than printing a dash in it, keeps one meaning for every row that does appear: the value shown is the value recorded. The single exception is the revision date in the title block, which keeps its place and shows a dash, because the title block has a fixed layout.
2.Optional rows across the library
Counted from the 174 current records each time this note is opened.
| Row | Printed when | Sheets | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| CAS number1. Specification | Printed when the record holds a registry number. | 43 / 174 | 25% |
| Form1. Specification | Printed when the appearance text names a lyophilized (freeze-dried) material. | 0 / 174 | 0% |
| Storage1. Specification | Printed when the record holds a storage line from the label. | 0 / 174 | 0% |
| Amount per vial, vials, total per box1. Specification | Printed when the presentation reads as an amount per vial and a vial count. | 174 / 174 | 100% |
| Price per mg (per IU for IU sheets)2. Pricing | Printed when the presentation states an amount of compound, not a volume. | 169 / 174 | 97% |
| RevisionTitle block | A date when the record has a change date; a dash otherwise. | 174 / 174 | 100% |
3.Reading each absence
No CAS row. Many peptides on the list have a registry number in the CAS database, and some blends and research codes may have none; the sheet does not distinguish the two cases, because the record does not. Matching such a sheet to a reference relies on the full name and the presentation (REF-01).
No Form row.The Form row is a reading of the appearance text and appears only when that text says the material is lyophilized. Other appearance wording is quoted in the sheet's query table instead (REF-02).
No Storage row. The handling section then carries only the line printed on every sheet, “Store as labelled; for laboratory research use only.”, which points to the product label and sets no condition of its own (REF-03).
No price per mg. Sheets whose presentation is a volume in mL state how much liquid a vial holds, not how much compound it contains, so no price per mg can be derived. The price per box and per vial are still given. Sheets stated in IU carry a price per IU in place of a price per mg.
4.When amounts of one compound differ
Each amount per vial is a separate record, so two sheets for the same compound can differ in which optional rows they print. A CAS number identifies the substance, not the amount, and where it is recorded on one amount it applies equally to the others; the sheets nevertheless print only what their own records hold, and the substance sheet marks how many amounts carry the number.
At this revision 29 compounds have a CAS row on some amounts and not on others:

5.Querying a missing value
A question about a missing row can be sent to support@farapeptides.com; quoting the sheet ID and the row in the subject line lets it be traced to the record directly (DOC-07). When a record is completed, the row appears on the sheet and the revision date moves to the day of the change (REF-04). Until then the sheet stays as it is: nothing is added to a datasheet that its record does not state.
